In helping hundreds of nonfiction authors with their books, I’ve come to the conclusion that 97% of aspiring authors need consistent motivation and support to get their book completed—two things that do not come automatically to the often solitary process of writing.
The good news? Our second annual, NoWriMoMo offers you the opportunity to get both motivation and support—and even answers to your specific nonfiction writing challenges.
If you did not participate last year, you may wonder, What is NoWriMoMo?
Sounds a little like NaNoWriMo, but not quite… In the spirit of National Novel Writing Month, we are offering support to nonfiction writers on the Bring Your Book to Life Facebook Page. Here’s your opportunity to:
– Set weekly—and even daily—goals.
– Be accountable for your writing.
– Get inspired.
– Get support.
– Build community.
– Get Your questions answered.
…and complete your nonfiction goal this November.
That may mean writing two chapters, two articles, three blog posts, a short e-book, or to complete your entire book. It’s up to you. Choose your goal. State your goal. Share your goal as a comment on this page. Then get what you need on the Bring Your Book to Life Facebook Page all month long to help you achieve your goal.
To ensure you remain motivated, Rachel Horwitz and I have put together weekly exercises to help you stay on track and reach your goals before December 1st. In addition—and as always—feel free to ask questions and I’ll be there to answer.
Here’s the schedule for the month:
November 1 – 3: Introduce Yourself and Declare Your Goals.
November 4 – 10: Time Management and the Buddy System
November 11 – 17: Get the Ideas Flowing
November 18 – 24: Breaking Through Blocks
November 25 – 30: Making Commitments
At the culmination of this month-long event, in addition to achieving your goal for the month, you will discover the value of a writing community and the genuine care and support fellow authors can provide.
