I re-launched my website to make it even easier, more practical and more fun to access the book writing and publishing information you have come to rely on at lisatener.com—information that’s there to help you become a terrifically successful published author.
To introduce you to the new site (designed by Rachel C Vane), I’ve designed the Author Resource Hunt with the help of blogger and marketing goddess Lorraine Giordano, and my brilliant assistant Geri Lafferty. Join the hunt for new ideas, inspiration and book writing/publishing guidance!
And there are prizes…lots of prizes.
Will you play?
Blogging and social media provide powerful and fulfilling ways to reach readers (and sell books). The Author Resource Hunt will also give you experience and practice engaging in these online communities. (Note: If you’re not already on social media or aren’t active, here’s an opportunity to sign up, connect and get going).
The hunt is geared for fun, accessing and sharing information, and creating community with other writers. And did I mention the prizes?
The Author Resource Hunt will run for 4 days–from Tuesday, November 18th to Friday, November 21st. Play one day, two days or all four to earn the most points and increase your chances of winning one of the top 3 prizes.
Everyone who plays will be a winner and receive a copy of Secrets of Compelling Writing. Top winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd place) will be announced on my blog on Monday, November 24th.
How to play
• Register to play by signing up here. The sooner you register, the more chances you’ll have to accumulate points during the “pre-Day 1” bonus activities.
Playing Wins You Prizes!
It costs nothing to play and everyone who plays wins a prize.
Just for playing you’ll receive – Secrets to Compelling Writing, which sells for $29 on my website and includes my favorite writing tips—including ingenious advice I learned in college from Frank Conroy considered by some to be one of the great writing teachers (Frank served as Director of the famed Iowa Writers Workshop after he taught at MIT).
Score points on the hunt and take advantage of these valuable prizes to improve your writing—and even guide you to write a book or book proposal.
First Prize
• Free download of Inspiration to Author – A complete roadmap to take your book idea from mind to manuscript [value $997]
• An inspiring journal for your writing
• My favorite writing pen: A Pentel EnerGel–choose from purple, blue and black
Second Prize

AUTHOR RESOURCE HUNT GUIDELINES
These following guidelines are meant to be simple and keep the game moving along.
1) Every day by 7am (Eastern time) I will post a blog entry with an item to look for, along with several related action items for earning points.
2) Explore www.lisatener.com to find answers on the hunt.
3) Record your total score as a comment on that day’s blog post.
4) In case of a tie – for either 1st or 2nd place – the first person to have posted their results wins; the next gets bumped to the prize below. In case of a tie for 3rd place, all 3rd place scorers will receive the prize.
