Inviting Transformation into Your Life

Your Book Writing Coach and Inspiration Partner

While preparing to give a talk at the UU Church in Peacedale, RI about Inviting Transformation into Our Lives (tomorrow), I realized I needed this talk myself.

So many times we find ourselves stuck in “What is…” that we forget “What’s possible…”

Today, I’m returning to what’s possible, to my vision. In that vein, I am off to the beach to enjoy my family and a long walk in the surf.

I won’t give you the whole talk and experience about transformation just now, but I’d love to hear what you see as possible in your life. Forget about what is today:  What do you want to see three weeks from now, or six weeks, or six months…?

Share your inspirations of what’s possible as a comment below. Or share how you create transformation in your life.

  1. A timely reminder, Lisa. I am off to China for two weeks to deliver two transformational workshops. They are all about creating “what is possible” in one’s life and in the world. Your question reminds me of the shift I need to make as I get ready to board my plane.

What’s possible? Rekindling friendships with people I have lost touch with over the years. I have held back from connecting with some of them for fear of finding that they are more accomplished than I or that I disappointed them in some way.

One new possibility is to engage them in the here and now, not just in my memory and thoughts. We were friends years ago and, if I get my approval needs out of the way, I can reconnect with some wonderful human beings.

I haven’t thought of this in a long time, and your question spurred me to something new. Thanks!

  2. Lisa, I hope your talk went well and I look forward to hearing it one day.
Being consciously guided by my intuition creates transformation in my life.
Going with the process and letting go of thoughts of outcome leads to many adventures and projects and collaborations that continue to expand.
For example, I love to write and took a course in screen writing with no purpose in mind. Soon I was co-producing one of the scripts which made the festival circuit and went as far as Hong Kong for a viewing at Jackie Chan’s studio.
I continue to have many opportunities to produce and co-write short films. A chance drawing won me a spot in an L.A. Screenwriting Master Class and yearly classes after that.
Doors open when my heart guides me.

    • Wow, Chris, that is so inspiring. I love how the opportunities make themselves when we just let go of the “how” and allow ourselves to follow our creative heart.
And Mitch, I look forward to hearing what this new openness creates for you in China.

  3. Both transformation and inspiration come into my life by meditating/napping daily in order to balance the busyness of the day with rest, relaxation and craved imagination- that’s what connects me with my vision, and where I know I am going, every day.
