You have a powerful tool for stress relief available to you at every single moment of your day. It’s one of the gifts that have been given to you to instantaneously discharge the excessive negative thoughts, feelings, emotions, and the physical discomfort in your body.
Your breath.
Here’s the key: Your breath must match your true level of stress. If it’s a 10 out of 10, then you need to breath in as deep and as fast as you can for 10-20 seconds to push and move that stress load out of your system.
You can practice this by breathing deeply when you are in a negative stress state. Speed up or slow down your breathing until you feel your tension dissipate.
By taking a few moments out of your day to consciously balance your breathing, you can utilize its power – and feel your anxiety ease.
