Do you want to know the secret to better hydration? Here are three tips to keep in mind when quenching your thirst:
Tips for Better Hydration
- Drink 4 ounces at a time. The best way to drink is four ounces at a time. If you drink more than that, you’re going to be going to the bathroom and putting too much stress on your kidneys. Your body cannot absorb more than 4 ounces of water in a certain amount of time. So rather than these big glasses, get yourself a 4 ounce glass. Sit down, do whatever work you’re doing. Just make sure within that 30 minutes, you sip down that water.
- Replace what you’re losing. The exception to number 1, is that if you’re running a marathon or you’re in an Ironman competition and you’re sweating profusely, you need to return those fluids back to your body as soon as possible.
- Drink mostly water. Make sure that it’s clean water. Do your own investigation into what kind of machines you want to use to make sure that your water is structured in a healthy fashion. If you like sweet juices, dilute them 50% with water. You will have a much healthier relationship with your pancreas if you do that. But water is the key. When you’re thirsty, drink water.
Small changes in your habits will make a big difference. Cheers to a healthier, hydrated version of you!
