Your health is a year-round commitment. As the year winds down, it’s easy to slip into old habits, but the holidays don’t have to derail your health journey.
How to Set Yourself up for a Successful 2025
When the holidays come up, it’s important to remember that it is not a holiday away from your health.
As it gets darker earlier, we start to want to hibernate more. Our energy wants to slow down. We want to pull in because it gets cold outside and when it gets cold outside, people contract.
We start making different dietary choices. We look for foods that are more fatty, greasy, and contain more carbohydrates. Also, as we gather for Thanksgiving and Christmas, it is typical for people to abandon who it is they really are during the other parts in the year.
This derails our health and wellness journey, and leaves us feeling terrible.
The holidays are never meant to be a holiday from your positive, healthy routines. Stay consistent with your routines now so you can step into 2025 stronger than ever. Your future self will thank you.
