If you’re in a relationship and you’re confused why you guys are never hitting the mark for you at an emotional level, is because you’re not in a value based relationship. In order to build a value based relationship, you need to know what your values are and then build a loving relationship through shared values.
How to Build Love That Lasts Through Shared Values
Write down your top 10 values and then your partner. Have them do the same thing. This will let you know is whether or not you’re in a value-based relationship.
If there are no shared values, that’s going to create agitation within the relationship, and the relationship is going to eventually dissolve. If you’re not in a value-based relationship, that person is never meeting your needs, wants, and your truest desires.
What makes you feel loved when you’re in a relationship? It’s when someone else is helping honor your values. When someone goes against your values, it feels like the exact opposite thing is happening. They can have a lot of love for you, but it’s impossible for you to feel that love because they’re never meeting you at your core values.
Value-based relationships are long lasting relationships because in the end, everything changes, but your values, they always stay the same.
