Sharing A Bed Could Be Draining Your Energy

We’ve been taught that partners should sleep in bed together. However, sharing a bed could be draining your energy. The idea of partners sharing a bed is often rooted in societal norms and romantic ideals. Yet, it might not always be conducive to restful sleep for both individuals.

For example, if I do that, I wake up the next day exhausted. This is because I have a passive body.

Test to See if Sharing a Bed is Draining Your Energy

If you suspect that sharing a bed is draining your energy, I suggest that you pay attention the next time you sleep away from your partner. If you wake up with more energy after sleeping alone, then you need to figure out how you’re going to manage your energy, plus that social-emotional dynamic that you have with sleeping together.
Do yourself a favor and find a solution to the problem. If you are waking up consistently tired in the mornings and you sleep with someone else, try this for one month: Sleep by yourself on Sunday and Wednesday nights. Instead of using your weekends to recover, you’ll be able to use your weekends to do things that are more fun, engaging, and joyful.

Ultimately, the goal is to create a sleep environment that allows each individual to wake up refreshed and ready to face the day. This can lead to a more harmonious and fulfilling partnership.
