Frequently Asked Questions

For Clients

Why should I work with a TBI Certified Stress-Free Facilitator? Expand

Certification from the TBI Academy is the only reliable way by which clients, individuals, entities, government agencies, and others can determine whether individual TBI service providers are properly educated and qualified to market and share TBI services. TBI certification affirms to others a particular instructor’s capabilities and understanding of TBI systems, methodology and philosophy. To prove their qualifications, eligible candidates for a TBI certificate must pass the official TBI Certification Exam in order to earn a TBI certificate. Each Certification Exam consists of Oral, Technical, and Written components. Candidates must pass all applicable exam components for each level of the TBI certificate.

TBI Certified Stress-Free Facilitators must also abide by the TBI Code of Ethics and Professional Standards, as well as our Disciplinary Procedures.

For Facilitators

What are the benefits of TBI certification? Expand

Earning TBI Certification represents a significant educational achievement and exclusive membership in the TBI professional community. The TBI Certification Program is the only authentic TBI credentialing process. Some benefits of TBI Certification are the Professional Membership and Directory Listing, Authorized Use of Official Certification Mark, Professional Recognition, and Expanded Professional Opportunities. Please see the TBI Training Academy Certification Program Handbook for more details on these benefits.

Why is annual recertification required? Expand

Annual recertification serves a number of important purposes, not the least of which is to protect the integrity of other members of the TBI professional community. The simple fact of the matter is that TBI Stress-Free Facilitators, no matter how excellent they become in sharing the work upon completion of the TBI Certification Program, can develop new habits and patterns through time. It is for these reasons (and others) that recertification, continuing education, and annual technical skills assessment policies are necessary for maintaining the integrity of the TBI body of work.

The TBI Academy is working very hard to create a foundation for the TBI Certificate that will empower the TBI Certificate to gain recognition as a professional credential in the evolving field of Complementary and Alternative Wellness Care. Further, The TBI Academy is striving to earn national and international recognition for the TBI Training Programs. Due to the rigid legal and medical business environments in place today, it is not an easy task for Complementary and Alternative Wellness Care service professions to make a name for themselves in the marketplace. In order to overcome these challenges and be successful, the TBI Academy is determined to apply appropriate policies and take all steps to ensure that all TBI Stress-Free Facilitators who choose to share the TBI body of work with the world are doing so safely, and in a manner that is in direct alignment with TBI principles, values, and professional policies.
