Some of the places that have worked for me this summer:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>A dock on the river under a tree<\/strong>: It was cool and the sounds of nature and human activity provided inspiration. I was also accompanied by two of my favorite writing friends, Tracy Hart and Ginger Moran.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>In bed in the morning<\/strong>: When I still have a toe in the dream state, the writing can be especially juicy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>In a workshop<\/strong> at the University of Rhode Island&#8217;s Ocean State Summer Writing Conference: Kristen Prevalet&#8217;s nonlinear exercises helped me loosen up and take risks.<\/p>\n<p>Where are you finding inspiration?
