And as a writer, I\u2019m sure you have your share of days where you feel you\u2019ve made writing mistakes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">My editor told me I have the wrong target audience\u2026\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">My outline is too short\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">My book has already been written\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">I wrote the wrong book\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">After all that polishing, this chapter doesn\u2019t fit in the book anymore\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The good news is that every time you sit down and write\u2014or even just sit down at your desk and think about your book\u2014you\u2019re exercising your writing muscles. You\u2019re practicing writing. Even if you have to write a whole new chapter, the one you wrote contributed to your growth as a writer.<\/p>\n<p>Writing is not a linear process. So trust in your process.
