What would it be like to look at your own book pitch with the eyes of a professional in the field\u2014an agent, editor or publicist?<\/p>\n

By reviewing the pitches\u2014and our expert comments\u2014from the \u201cPitch Your Book to Life\u201d contest, you can:<\/p>\n

1. Learn to write a compelling book pitch.<\/p>\n

2. Get a sense of what might be missing from your book pitch<\/p>\n

3. Receive the stimulation to come up with new ideas for your book.<\/p>\n

On April 5th<\/sup> through April 19th <\/sup>(2012), we hosted the \u201cPitch Your Book Life\u201d contest. Participants had the chance to submit a 3-5 sentence \u201celevator pitch\u201d about their book concept to be reviewed by Literary Agent Michael Larsen<\/a>, Book Publicity Expert Rusty Shelton<\/a>, and myself.<\/p>\n
