Here’s my tip for holiday book sales, inspired by my client Karin Esterhammer:<\/p>\n

Karin just received an email from her publisher to tell her that her book So Happiness To Meet You<\/a>: Foolishly, Blissfully Stranded in Vietnam<\/em> was featured in Fodor’s 2017 Holiday Gift Guide<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Karin’s humorous and heartwarming memoir appeared on a list alongside 16 other great books by celebrated authors including\u00a0J.M. Coetzee, John Hodgman, Salman Rushdie and Douglas Preston. What exciting company!<\/p>\n

If you’re a published author, think about niche markets that may be a good fit for your book. Are there online giving guides that may be a good fit? Or are there bloggers who reach your audience and who might publish a blog post or author interview in time for the holidays?<\/p>\n

Perhaps you can even blog a gift guide of your own, highlighting other complementary books and\/or products to yours, as well as your own book as a great holiday gift. Here’s the holiday book-giving guide<\/a> I created last year.<\/p>\n
